SUPERNATURAL CONVENTION IN SAN FRANCISCO

This Saturday January 15th, we are playing a special show to support the television show 'SUPERNATURAL' in San Francisco at the famous Westin, St. Francis hotel. One of the stars of the show, Jared Padalecki, has been a long time supporter of ours and in conjunction with Creation Entertainment---is presenting us to the audience of the hit series on the CW. We are so grateful to be associated with this incredible evening and even more excited to share our music with their loyal fans. The show begins at 9:15 and will last an hour. Jared and his wife Genevieve have been kind enough to auction off seats to the show to support both his personal charity and our band's cause----so please come out if you are in the Northern California area and come join the festivities. Should be a wonderful event----so again, our thanks to Jared and Genevieve for making this possible and spreading the faith... Blessings, BBB

UPCOMING SHOWS and ONE SHOW DATE CHANGE

Friends, We have a busy couple of months ahead of us and are grateful for it! We had originally planned a show tonight at TAIX in silverlake, but it has been postponed until this Thursday January 13th, at 10:30 so all apologies to any inconvenience this may have caused. we would love nothing more than to see you there, drink in hand, swaying to some tunes, so please come join us!!! That being said, we have another show in Santa Monica this next Tuesday, January 18th at O'Briens in Santa Monica, starting at 8:30 on Main Street. We are doubly amped about this gig, because we are playing the show alongside our favorite musicians in the city. BJ Allman will open the evening, Socks and Chimes will follow, Mimi and Teft will make their Los Angeles debut, and Casey Hurt will end the night, featuring the incomparable Six Brooks. It will be a lovely magical night, to say the least, so if you must miss Thursday---come by and jam with us at O'Briens. From us to you, Blessings, BBB

Hello all

I just wanted to write a few words since I haven't been able to in awhile. For the past 2 months we have been working on this new record and have been slaving away since the beginning of the process because we believe in the message and to be quite honest are happily in our element when the crimson red record button is pressed. Over the past few years of this band's existence--we have struggled mightily with our journey. Wonderfully, we have run parallel with our successes and trepid with the bumps in the road. But as of recent, we have had more of a forceful mindset. To embrace the fear of falling, to welcome the possibility of our missteps--and thankfully, this newfound faith has allowed us to breath far more deep, swim much farther out from shore than we could have imagined. When you have a desire to release your art to the world--you can't hide your parental--almost guardian like instincts. Almost as if you were to dread the day your child leaves for the pitfalls and heartache of college. Alas, your desire remains, and even though you remind yourself that you committed to releasing the lion you raised back to the wild from your safe containment in captivity--you still shudder at the thought. What if people listen and despise your work? What if your blood and soul isn't well received but asked to stand in the corner like some hideous decrepit leper who can't bear the thought of dancing---? But after our experience with the 'higher-ups' in the past 2 years, we came to the ultimate decision that no matter what, if we are blessed to have a listener's ears then we are happy to hear the critique to follow. Good or bad. Worse than the good or bad--is the indifference. I would much rather hearing that an individual associated with an emotion, or hated each chord---than---nothing at all. It has been 4 years since 'For Her' was released and we are ready to move to the next level in our favorite video game. So, thank you those who have given their patience so willingly. Our attempt is to offer you music that will elevate you to a calm that you have had before but didn't have the soundtrack to accompany it with.
Love and Blessings,
BB

No music.

This month of August has been difficult. We're on a break until September and I have cabin fever. Despite all my rage I'm still just a musician in a cage. There is mixing, there is waiting, there is searching, there is more waiting. Something feels awry. Something feels wrong. I've missed my therapy sessions. I've missed my brothers. Soon enough we'll be reunited. Drowning my anguish in new music...The Editors:

Did you hear about the man who committed suicide at the Swell Season show? I've been there. When I was 18 I went to see Harry Belafonte at the same winery where the show was held. I met him after the show. He was kind, charismatic, and real. I told him that night that I was going to be a performer for the rest of my life. Brian and I met Glen Hansard before the Swell Season show at Hollywood Bowl. He possessed the same qualities. He was gracious, kind and wide eyed. We thanked him for changing our lives. In our case he changed our lives for the better. I feel for this man who felt he had no choice, but we all have a choice.
